When I was 3 years ago, after a brief pause, again with birds began and decided that there would in any case in zebra finches to come I did not know what color I should choose. Through the book of the NZC I came in from Normal Penguin. I understood immediately the old name "penguin" especially the doll appears in color drawing on a real penguin.
Love at first sight, in Northern Limburg I bought two couples (and a couple Pastel Gray) and later some birds closer to home. After a difficult start, many unfertilized eggs, in the year 2008 is now growing, in 2009, more. I have a reasonable number farmed dolls, nice size and drawing. Beautiful men grow in Normal Penguin is a different story, I've had enough but the size and design (especially on the cheeks they are too short) are still at. To improve quality of men I have, with a good breeder, bought a good man. Especially good at drawing, because still a lot of improvement. The next breeding season, I hope a few good men to buy.
Because I bought a couple Pastel Gray birds, I also go Silver Penguin breeding, what has become my main color. However pure Normal Penguin will also remain part of my zebra finches property.
