Witborstzebravink

An impression of my aviary and breeding space.

The aviary is a barn of 3 meter by 2.5 meters. Here are breeding cages of the firm Van Heesakkers. Of these three layers of 3 cages, these cages is the size of 40-40-40, they are separated by retractable partitions so you up a cage can make of 120-40-40. The bottom layer are four cages of 60-40-40 they are also removable partitions.

Further in this space two cages of 120-60-60. I use this in the summer for Redpolls, in the winter to see the young zebra finch in flight until they can. Under these two cages is a standing drawer cabinet with 6 drawers for food.

Besides the plastic cages, two flights of 150-200-60.

The residence is heated with an electric heater with adjustable thermostat from 10 degrees.Last winter, this way of heating my 5 months cost about 60 euros. This has given the severe winter a reasonable amount.

The lighting consists of 1 Lichtfresch Daylight 35W 6500K bulb and one 30W 6500K.

A small worksheet below to view a small drawer cabinet makes this modest space complete for holding up to 100 birds.
